Dota 2 world is very interesting as in the community itself have a lot of thing going on as we grow over the years. A lot of things happens in the past that we can take control or learn from it but some players certainly let emotion and anger into the game forgetting what is important in the community.
After Mind_Control, KUKU and now comes TI8 Champion, a captain, professional players and former coach that we all know with the calmness involve in racist comment case.
Here is what the community know.
In a public game, Sebastien “Ceb” Debs, a TI8 Champions with OG, throws his frustration and comments towards other players in a pub game. All of his writings and comments got exposed in Reddit by the player who triggered Ceb in the first place. He screenshot and post the entire conversation made by Ceb in Reddit along with his side of the story.
According to the person posting, the whole problem started when Ceb who started making racial comment and be a toxic player towards Russian people after they fight over who should pick up the Aegis in the Roshan pit.
The player as a Storm Spirit, warned Ceb that Storm Spirit should have the Aegis as he things he is more important to have it, but after killing the Roshan, Ceb pick it up and died twice. Storm Spirit player think this is waste of the Aegis.
After the racist comment being posted on Reddit, the damage is already done and Ceb immediately response. Ceb wrote an apology for his words and also explains what really happened.
Below are the shared screenshot.
Ceb reply on his Actions:
After a few hours the post viral on Reddit, Virtus Pro Captain Alexei “Solo” Berezin made his statement as his name in a Russian Pro Dota Player is no need to be rectify.

“I would like to share my personal opinion on the situation that happened with Ceb yesterday and his apology that followed up a bit later.
Russian whores who would sell their mothers for MMR. That’s not the kind of stuff you say even if you get frustrated. Schizophrenic animals from Russia. Third world dogs.
You simply can’t say these things no matter what caused them. I am proud to be Russian and your words leave me speechless. You’re not some young player who can do careless stuff because he might not understand the consequences. You’ve been in this game since the very start, you’ve earned a lot of respect and it makes the situation even worse.
If the best players in the world do those things, what do we expect from our community? Kuku made his mistake and was banned for a far less insulting stuff, so if we really want to get rid of this racist shit in our game, I think it’s time for Valve to act. I was on vacation when Mind Control pulled his Hitler shit last year and did not react properly, so now we have another example. I’ve done my mistakes in the past and took my punishment, but kept loyal to the game. I think I’ve earned the right to speak on behalf of our community and demand justice. Otherwise it’s all hypocrisy and double standards.
I won’t be participating at the upcoming Epicenter Major that will be played in my home country unless Valve openly speaks about this case and ensures consistency and transparency when it comes to treating racism in our game.”
As in the whole situation has spark an anger not only in the Russian Dota 2 community, Pro players from Russia like Mr Solo himself have make a stand on what he thinks in the situation.
Solo have a previous case also in the community but he mentioned that he “did his time” and he now be able to spoke on behalf of the community.
After all we are all human and make mistake, the point here is Valve really need to be in one voice in handling this kind of problem where this a not the first time of it.
What do you guys think?
